Brookwood platter

The founders of Brookwood, Trevor and Lynn Mann, decided to leave the city and move to Perth after lunch at a winery. Brookwood Estate was founded shortly after that, in 1996.
Bronnley, their daughter, is now the winemaker at Brookwood. She remembers her parents helping them establish the 6-hectare vine.
They were hardworking, tenacious, and learned as they went. They had originally planned to live off the land and grow grapes.
Lyn worked in the Woody Nook cellar to learn about winemaking while Trevor took care of the vineyard. This was a big undertaking for a young couple who had no previous winemaking experience.
Brookwood has won numerous trophies since then for its Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. They also focus on the needs of their customers when developing their wine portfolio. “At the cellar door, we listen to our customers, and this helps us create our wines.”
The most popular wines include NV Bubbles – a sparkling wine – Mellow Rouge – a fruity, unoaked, red wine that is best served chilled – and Chenin Blanc – a full-bodied, medium-dry wine.
Bronnley loves Chenin. It’s a rare and exceptional variety. “I had the opportunity to participate in an exchange of wine professionals in the Loire Valley, France where they produce amazing wines using Chenin Blanc.”
This experience was an inspiration to me. Brookwoods Chenin Blanc has a rich, flavourful, off-dry style that pairs well with spicy foods, Asian cuisines, or strongly flavored food.
Brookwood has a restaurant with 180-degree vineyard views. It offers a relaxing dining experience.
The restaurant is licensed so that you can drink local beer and wine.
